Matrix Recruitment is currently seeking atemporary ARCHAEOLOGIST to be based in County Carlow. This is a 6-month fixed term Contract. Key Responsibilities: Cataloguing the collection with a focus on the archaeological items. Researching the collection with a focus on the archaeological items. Displaying archaeological objects. Provision of Customer Service to visitors. Undertaking Guided Tours. We are looking for: Qualification in Archaeology or History or Geography or Anthropology or Celtic Studies or Art History or Cultural Studies. Knowledge of the following are highly desirable: Cataloguing of archaeological objects. Photographing and Scanning; Knowledge of the National Monuments Act 1930 and amendments. Research skills. Customer Service skills in meeting and dealing with visitors. Good working knowledge of computer programmes such as Word, Excel and databases. Fluent in English.
