Job Title: Facility Manager. Reporting to: Facility Director, or as directed. Division: Operations. Site Base: Enva Portlaoise, Clonminam Industrial Estate, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Main purpose of role: The Facility Manager will assume full responsibility for all daily operations at Enva Portlaoise (excluding waste oil processing) including waste acceptance, processing and removal of waste for offsite recovery whilst ensuring all regulatory requirements and company procedures are adhered to during all site operations. The Facility Manager will also be responsible for the development of systems and processes to maximize operational efficiency, safety, quality and productivity. This is a management role within a busy and developing hazardous waste facility. Out of hours working may be required at times but flexibility within the position is possible. Overall Responsibilities: Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet/exceed company expectations. Maximise productivity, capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and meeting relevant quality standards. Responsibility for continuity of process operations, output, product quality and on-time shipping. Collect and analyze data to find and reduce instances of inefficiency, waste or excessive cost (e.g. overtime. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize efficiency and productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to maximize the effective allocation, management and return on resources & assets. Monitor facility operations and trigger appropriate effective corrective actions. Develop & maintain a trusting relationship with your workgroup and recruit, manage and develop staff. Address appropriately employees’ issues or grievances in line with company policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate safe systems of work are routinely practiced in line with the company’s safety management system. Ensure facility operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Industrial Emissions license and all other license/permits. Manage infrastructural/engineering projects/development and the appropriate maintenance of facility assets. Stay up to date with latest process management best practices, concepts and regulatory requirements. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. In addition to the above, detailed responsibilities in relation to General Site Management, Site Compliance, Logistics & Stock Management and Technical and R&A are available upon request Requirements: Proven experience as a facility/ plant manager in a highly regulated industry (e.g. EPA regulated. Proven managerial experience in a similar operations environment. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise. Knowledgeable and experience of accountability in areas of health & safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes. Highly computer literate and with effective communication and literacy skills (e.g. report writing, business cases. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. Proposed Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience.
