Applications are invited for the above post which is on a Type B Basis under the Consultants’ Contract 2008. The Consultant appointed will work across the Managed Maternity Network under the employment and governance of the Coombe Women & Infants’ University Hospital. Professional Qualifications and Experience Required. Applicants must be registered as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland in the speciality of Psychiatry and have at least two years’ experience in Perinatal Psychiatry.  For the purposes of eligibility for entry to any competition or recruitment process associated with this post, a candidate cannot be appointed as a Medical Consultant unless (s)he is registered as a Specialist in the Specialist Division on the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland before taking up appointment. The successful candidate will be allowed a maximum of 180 calendar days from date of interview to secure registration and produce evidence of special interest training where relevant.
