Description

Maintenance Team Engineering Manager. In this role you will lead, mentor & develop a high performance maintenance engineering team; embedding best practice processes in a highly automated 24/7 food production & packing facility. KPIs are met alongside leading CI in plant maintenance & utility operations. Key Responsibilities: - Relationship Building. As a member of the site leadership team you will collaborate with & support them. Ensure there is active participation in site decision making & objective setting. Work well with other dept's using positive relationships & assist delivery of results through your & other teams. Team Leadership, Development & Management. Leading, coaching & develop engineers & team leaders to deliver business objectives. Encourage flexibility & cross functional skills, instilling a 'fix it right first time' attitude throughout team. Identify & arrange training for dept. Give strong leadership to ensure support for all operations. Maintenance Excellence. Encourage a "go & see" attitude amongst team for problems. Engage with colleagues in production, quality & other engineers to determine root cause at scene of problem. Monitor PPM for all areas inc schedules for all plant & equipment & fault analysis. Ensure team update PPM procedures via KPIs, customer service levels, detailed PPM schedules. Setting Strategy & CI. Lead an effective culture of CI in all aspects of plant ops. qualiy & maintenance. Strategically develop & justify plans for maintenance dept. Initiate & lead capital projects & prep of AFEs to support. Lead in maintenance to improve uptime & OEE using lean tools. Daily review of KPIs like OEE, yield & losses & DMAIC to eliminate root causes of issues. Develop & manage budget for dept; Driven positive H&S. Qualifications & Training. Mech/ Elect Discipline - with Degree/Dip in Mech/Elect/Manuf Eng. SAP PM & exp. of training others. Over 3 years leading & managing Eng. team. Detailed knowledge of production processes in food env. IOSH qualification; experience in 5 whys, A3s problem solving techniques & Lean training. Skills & Abilities - Support overall team delivery of goals. Best use of resources with strategic planning & prioritisation skills. Be self-motivated & proactive. Enjoy team leadership, making decisions & being accountable. Calm & focused under pressure & with integrity & respect for others. Own your targets & goals - having delivered on commitments.
