HR & Training Officer Sanderson is working in partnership with its international manufacturing client to recruit an HR and Training Professional to work closely with the HR Manager to deliver the day to day HR and Training Service aligned to the needs of the business. In addition this person will be apart of the team that will work on systems and process improvements across HR and the wider business. HR Responsibilities: Recruitment - develop role profiles and person specifications, prepare advertisements and engage with various platforms and agencies. Review applications, support the hiring manager with shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates. Equality Monitoring, to include the preparation of the annual monitoring return. Manage and deliver an effective Induction Training Programme. Maintenance of HR Information system in regard to employee life-cycle; absence information, employee details, recruitment details etc. Provide weekly reports to the HR Manager and senior management. Liaising with Payroll on pay and benefits issues. Use of SAP HR system to carry out weekly Time and Attendance checks & payroll preparation tasks to include sickness, gross to net payroll report. Training & Development Responsibilities : With the HR Manager and Management develop the training strategy and plan for the site. Support Managers to identify training needs and develop training plans accordingly. Review training course content to ensure suitability, evaluate its effectiveness and monitor the outcome of training. Introduce and develop Competency Assessment system and train Team Leaders on how to use same. Drive the timely completion of competency assessments. Ensure all training is recorded appropriately and that the training matrix is up-to-date. Review and plan ahead for all regulatory training to ensure compliance with legislation. Consider, evaluate and advise the best use of IT capability / e-Learning for training purposes. Health and Safety: Proactively support the on-going development of safety through effective leading KPIs. Progressively make the work environment safer through Risk assessments, hazard registers and elimination of hazards in the workplace. Support the development of PSOPs and competency assessment; with associated operator training, which promotes safe working practises, in accordance with relevant Health and Safety Legislation. Other Responsibilities. Ensure the role is performed with due regard for the requirements of the Company Equality of Opportunity Policy and Harassment policies. Undertake any other duties associated with the effective operation of the role. Undertake training in new methods and refresher training in existing methods where deemed appropriate. Participate in the training of others.
